Code of Ethics

  1. Members recognize their business responsibilities to the community, province and the Society, and pledge full support of those laws and activities which promote manufactured home park living.

  2. The residents of manufactured home parks, as homeowners, can expect recognition of their rights to privacy, respect, courtesy and dignity. Members have a responsibility to provide safe and reasonably well-maintained common areas and park services. Mutual respect and concern are the governing principles of member-resident relations.

  3. In order to provide for responsible relationships between residents and members and to protect the investment of residents and members, reasonable park rules and regulations shall be established in writing and be available to all residents. Members pledge to enforce park rules and regulations in an equitable and forthright manner.

  4. Members pledge to be available to residents and to be receptive to their constructive suggestions.

  5. Contentment, security and peace of mind are the desire of residents and the goal of members. To this end, members pledge that residents shall be free of worry of arbitrary or unlawful termination of tenancy. Members further pledge to operate their parks in a manner consistent with established business practices and procedures.

Members shall co-operate fully with the Society in complying with the spirit and intent of the Bylaws and Code of Ethics of the Society, and members shall avoid all conduct and practices likely to discredit or do injury to the manufactured home park industry or their fellow members.
